Miss America is and continues to be one of the most empowering organizations for young women across the nation. I for one am a strong believer in an organization that encourages young women to fight hard for a goal. Without Miss America, I would not be at Wofford College, I would not hold the self-assuredness I have today and I would not be well on my way to dual undergraduate and medical school degrees. Name another organization with that much potency.
